Funerals, Memorials, End of Life Tributes
Bookmark and Share

Nothing can take away the grief we experience from the death of a loved one, but a genuine, well prepared tribute eases the pain.

Performing a memorial service is a task which needs to be done and done well.  It is of utmost importance that the words, music and other elements of a funeral express and celebrate the life of the person or pet/animal companion who has died.

A Celebrant WILL:

  • Be guided by the beliefs, philosophies and preferences of the deceased and the family.

  • Create a unique, personal and dignified funeral or memorial ceremony with words, music, literature, traditions, toasts, symbols, photographs, multimedia and/or ANY other elements desired.
  • Be generous with time and consult with the client to pay proper and adequate tribute to the person who has died.

  • Perform the memorial ceremony with careful preparation, compassion, sincerity and care at the home, funeral home, crematorium, cemetery or other site/venue.

A Celebrant WILL NOT:
  • Include religious or spiritual aspects in a ceremony that do not reflect the deceased.

  • Impose on anyone, ANY element of a ceremony that the client did not ask for or approve.  Once the text of the service has been determined, approved and agreed upon by the deceased or his/her family, friend or representative, there will be no deviation or improvised or unexpected elements or verbage.
  • Waver from the principle that at the end of a life, the tribute we pay deserves to be the best that human skill can present.
