For over ten years, Venus Kitagawa-Stojsic has been an enthusiastic professional and energetic leader in Southern California. She is currently serving as facilitator for Celebrant USA Foundation's Mid-California Regional Chapter. Venus is extensively trained in the creation and performance of ceremony, and she is an ordained non-denominational minister authorized to solemnize weddings in the State of California. Venus is a Celebrant certified by the Celebrant USA Foundation, specializing in the fundamentals and history of ritual. After pursuing her studies at the Celebrant USA Institute, Venus completed her Fundamentals of Celebrancy coursework and focused her major emphasis on Couples & Weddings. She also leads groups, speaks in public, and makes presentations year round.
Venus’ background is in counseling and music therapy. She has worked in private practice and for facilities with many clients, including adults and teens with mental illness, children with disabilities, and older adults with dementia. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy from Chapman University and became board-certified in 1997. She has also received Associate of Arts degrees in Radio & TV Broadcasting and Production.
Venus is a lifelong resident of Southern California. She is a devoted wife of twelve years to her husband Alex. The couple share a home in Orange County, California with their cats (children, really) Smaug the Desolate, Cyrano de Sniffy, and Pilates.
